Position Summary:     

A Technologist for Customer Technology Service (CTS) fulfils the key technical role at Infineum’s customer interface. Within NBD, this involves understanding specific applications testing that is widely accepted in industry. This includes current technology pain points as well as future industry technology trends.

This person will also have a balanced portfolio of chemistry and process understanding at the customer level so as to deliver against customer needs through the application of Infineum’s technology. The role requires significant collaboration with customers, Market Advisors and Deep Technology Expertise colleagues.  The role also contains a commercial dimension in that it is pivotal in defining product-based value propositions.

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

• Provide expert customer technical support including product recommendations, product-based value propositions and general technical advice.
• Working with Business development and sales and marketing colleagues, develop an understanding of new markets that will support Infineum’s diversification effort.
• Lead local applications testing (whether internally or through third parties) so as to improve credibility in Infineum’s test programs in front of customers.
• Work with Deep Expertise to develop or extrapolate Infineum’s current chemistry platforms into saleable components/formulations.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

• Established technical competency with a strong science background (e.g. chemistry or engineering).
• Preferred candidates will have worked in a technical capacity in industries such as Lithium Batteries, Coatings or Nanomaterial applications. 
• Strong program management skills in terms of balancing internal and external resources
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and enthusiasm to work with customers.
• Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and develop external personal relationships.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills in English
• Able to effectively carry out multiple projects and other technical activities simultaneously.
