Role Title: Plant Improvement & Development Engineer

Role Function and Group: Supply / Manufacturing

Location:  Zhang Jia Gang Plant

Position Summary:     

The candidate coordinates the development of Site Capital Investment Plan and develops plant related Projects documentation in accordance to relevant corporate guidelines (i.e Infineum Capital Investment manual, IMPACT manual). He/she acts as primary contact for Global Engineering and site function dept as owner representative over the entire project life

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve

  • Act as focal point to collect Requirements and develop Prioritized Site Investments list, feeding the site Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) Continuous Improvement plan
  • Develop and keep up to date the medium / long term” Site Infrastructure Plan
  • Accountable for the development of Project Basis Memorandum during Stage 1 and Manufacturing Basis Memorandum during Stage 2
  • Provide input to Design Basis Memorandum and Front End Design during Stage 2 and 3
  • Act as main focal point for Global Engineering and Owners representative during Stage 3 and 4
  • May be the Stage 1 Manager for non-Strategic Projects
  • Develop initial Start-Up Plan for Capital Projects, might be the Start Up Leader for some projects.
  • This role is typically the Administrator of OIMS 3.1 Facility Design and Construction
  • Guarantee an effective support to OIMS practices he interfaces with:
  • P&IDs updating process; 
  • Support Project Screening

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree and above with Chemical engineering 
  • Proven at least 3 years’ experience in multinational chemical company.
  • Very good knowledge of knowledge of chemical process. solid knowledge of chemical process, operations, material, plant infrastructure and process equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management, including project planning, development processes (IMPACT manual), project economic analysis and cost estimation, chemical process design, design standards and relevant design software.

Preferred skills:

  • Strong English reading and writing skills; fluency in spoken English is a plus.
  • A clear understanding of how capital investments support the achievement of corporate strategies and goals.
  • HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) awareness and mindset with knowledge of chemical process safety assessments and related methodologies.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and organizational coordination skills; ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in both local and international environments.
  • Analytical thinking and active listening skills; ability to efficiently gather and integrate information to make decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and strong presentation skills.
