Role Title:  Planning Coordinator
Location:  Zhangjiagang, China
Position Summary:     
This role reports to the Manufacturing Planning Leader. As a member of planning team, key responsibilities are to ensure raw materials availability and control inventory at proper level; in the meantime, perform as a backup of production scheduler for production.

The candidates will work closely with:

Manufacturing Planner for raw material replenishment.
Plant operations for smooth production execution and plan loading unloading according to capacity, ensure efficient and effective production schedule.
Suppliers – Services and raw materials to enable smooth supply.
Procurement- Deliver forecast and send feedback of suppliers’ performance; Solve system issues.
Supply Chain – local and global logistic specialist and regional customer service to achieve on time supply.
Other key interfaces include Procurement, Global Supply Chain, global affiliates planners, IT etc.
Key Responsibilities
Plan raw material replenishment from affiliates and 3rd parties or other assigned purchases. Monitor order arrival status. Revise replenishment as per actual demand and work with relevant key stake holders to optimize plan as well as minimize impact.
Monitor over all inventory level also tank level and work with Logistic Operation Assistant to coordinate the intra-company STOs for raw material call off.
Resolve plant supply, production or customer fulfilment issues with affiliates, plant colleagues and 3rd party suppliers.
System set up for new materials and parameter maintenance in SAP and Kinaxis.
3rd party bill verification, cost tracking and optimization.
Provide backup to planning team member.
Align planning team activities and delivery.
Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
 

What skills will you gain from this role?

Skilled use of planning IT tools like SAP, Aspen SCM, Kinaxis.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

Fluent in English
Strong sense of business ownership, motivation; analytical and problem solving oriented
Production scheduling background, chemical industry is preferred
Proficient in SAP operation and Microsoft office
Import & export knowledge is a plus
