Position Summary:
We are looking for a Customer Technical Manager to join our New Business Development (NBD) team at Infineum. This is a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to Infineum's growth beyond Sustainable Transportation. The NBD team, consisting of Business, Commercial, and Scientific experts, is instrumental in driving our growth strategy, exploring new markets, and shaping the future of Infineum's specialty chemicals.
A Customer Technology Manager fulfils the key technical role at Infineum’s customer interface. Within NBD, this involves understanding and delivering against customer product needs through the application of additives or additive packages that are novel to Infineum and/or novel to market. The role requires significant collaboration with customers and Technology Deep Expertise, supply chain and product stewardship. The role also contains a commercial dimension in that it is pivotal in defining product-based Value Propositions.
Key Outputs: What we can expect from you
• Develop & validate technology solutions in collaboration with Deep Technology Expertise (DE) teams to address market needs.
• Active 1st hand customer engagement in order to translate customer problems & validate acceptance of Infineum technical proposals
• Provide expert customer technical support including product recommendations, product-based value propositions and general technical advice including solving level 1 customer problems independently (Customer advice or direct recommendation to DE team)
• Project management: Articulate technical project deliverables, define timelines and ensuring customer milestones are met. Oversee the development process & resourcing in collaboration with DE and Zhangjiagang laboratory operations.
• Work with DE to build technology capability needs (lab, pilot plant) for specific applications within the electronic chemicals platform (Li-ion batteries, capacitors, etc) or Coatings and Adhesives platforms.
• Comply with Infineum safety standards including executing / advising on risk assessments and mitigating actions.
• Competitive Technology and IP monitoring

A successful candidate is likely to have:
• Established technical competency with a strong science background (e.g. chemistry or engineering).
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and enthusiasm to work with customers.
• Strong interpersonal, networking and communication skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and develop external personal relationships.
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills in English
• Knowledge of electronics chemicals (particularly Li-ion battery cell applications and chemistries) or Coatings and Adhesives applications is a plus (preferably 5-10 years industry experience)
• Able to effectively carry out multiple projects and other technical activities simultaneously.
