Role Title: Technology Specialist

Function and Department: Chemistry, Deep Expertise Technology.

Location: Ziangjiagang, China.

Position Summary:

Join our Chemistry team as we work to develop new materials and formulations into the battery industry, as part of the Infineum vision to create a sustainable future through innovative chemistry. In this role, you will be pivotal to our Research and Development efforts in China and enable dynamic customer engagement in the region.

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve

Prepare battery slurries and coatings to explore the performance of emerging technologies
Adapt formulations for customer requirements to attract new business opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional, global team to bring new technology to the marketplace
Analyze data to identify how best to bring the optimal performance to battery cells, magnetorheological fluids and other nanoparticle dispersion systems.
Be responsible for safe practices in the laboratory, looking for improved ways of working.

Develop skills in nanoparticle dispersions and complex formulations using an array of equipment
Gain valuable experience in handling, mixing and characterization of the materials used in battery cathodes, anodes and electrolytes.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

Experience of working in a chemical industry environment with a safety-conscious environment and culture
Demonstrated expertise in laboratory scale preparation and analysis of mixtures, for example from the coatings or battery fields.
Ability to analyse complex data and present findings clearly.
Able to work independently and safely with materials with chemical hazards.

Preferred:

Familiarity with working with carbon nanotubes or other nanoparticles
Experience working in the batteries field
Experience working in a dry-room environment
Experience working with air- and water-sensitive materials
English language skills with oral and written
