Role Title: Technology Specialist

Function and Department: Chemistry, Deep Expertise Technology.

Location: Ziangjiagang, China.

Position Summary:  

Join our Chemistry team as we work to develop new materials and formulations into the battery industry, as part of the Infineum vision to create a sustainable future through innovative chemistry. In this role, you will be pivotal to our Research and Development efforts in China and enable dynamic customer engagement in the region.

 

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve

  • Prepare battery slurries and coatings to explore the performance of emerging technologies
  • Adapt formulations for customer requirements to attract new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, global team to bring new technology to the marketplace
  • Analyze data to identify how best to bring the optimal performance to battery cells, magnetorheological fluids and other nanoparticle dispersion systems.
  • Be responsible for safe practices in the laboratory, looking for improved ways of working.

  • Develop skills in nanoparticle dispersions and complex formulations using an array of equipment
  • Gain valuable experience in handling, mixing and characterization of the materials used in battery cathodes, anodes and electrolytes.

 

Skills & Qualifications

 

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a chemical industry environment with a safety-conscious environment and culture
  • Demonstrated expertise in laboratory scale preparation and analysis of mixtures, for example from the coatings or battery fields.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and present findings clearly.
  • Able to work independently and safely with materials with chemical hazards.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with working with carbon nanotubes or other nanoparticles
  • Experience working in the batteries field
  • Experience working in a dry-room environment
  • Experience working with air- and water-sensitive materials
  • English language skills with oral and written
