Position Summary:
Lead the development and optimization of electrode slurry formulations for electronic applications, focusing on nanomaterial dispersion, rheology control, and compatibility with advanced metal/ceramic processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver innovative solutions aligned with market and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve
Formulation Development:
- Design and optimize metal-based slurry formulations for passive components (such as Ni slurry for MLCC inner electrode).
- Select and evaluate dispersants, binders, solvents, and additives for performance and stability to enable the commercialisation of new formulated products
Process Engineering:
- Establish mixing protocols, viscosity targets, and rheology profiles for scalable manufacturing.
- Support pilot trials and scale-up activities in collaboration with production teams.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide expertise in nanomaterial dispersion and slurry rheology.
- Guide technical team and ensure compliance with safety standards for handling metal nanoparticles.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with commercial, R&D, and external research partners (e.g., universities) to validate formulations.
- Prepare technical reports, data packs, and presentations for internal stakeholders and customers.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor industry trends in MLCC technology, electrode paste formulations, and ceramic processing.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and performance enhancement.
Intellectual Property:
- Contribute to the development of patent applications to protect Infineum developments
- Help ensure freedom of operation via knowledge of third-party patents

Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in formulation development for electronic materials, preferably MLCC or similar ceramic systems.
- Hands-on experience with slurry preparation, rheology control, and screen-printing processes.
- Skills:
- Ability to analyse and interpret complex data to derive sound technical judgements and drive project decisions
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Compelling interpersonal and networking skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
- Strong knowledge of nanomaterial dispersion, colloidal chemistry, and organic/inorganic interactions.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with MLCC market trends and electrode paste technologies.
- Experience in collaborative projects with academic or industrial partners
- Proficiency in analytical techniques (viscosity, particle size, zeta potential).
