Role Title: Technical Support Assistant

Role Function and Group: Enabling Electrification, Driveline Development & Deployment Europe and China

Location:  CBTC, Shanghai

Position Summary:   

This position is to support Driveline Technology teams in China which work closely with Sales and Marketing in providing deployment supports to customers in China. The main role of this position is to support the TSA and Technologist by working in laboratory to provide blending, testing, sample management and  sample shipping supports.

 

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

 

  • Complete additives & finish oil blending and testing to support deployment and development projects.
  • Assist in smooth sample shipping in/out of China,functioning of laboratory sample management by ensuring highest standard of accuracy , and related documents.
  • Assist in diagnosing operational problems of sample management, implementing remedial action and proposing areas for procedural or hardware improvement.
  • Main contact for off-site warehouse operation including inventory check, sample transfer,etc.
  • Manage the inventory of lubricant samples.
  • Support TSA and Technologist in execution of technology deployment programs and customer-interface work.
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned.

A successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Experience of working with minimal supervision in a test laboratory environment together with a high awareness of the associated Health, Safety and Environmental practices
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team with good communication, time-management and personal organization skills, with general guidance from a supervisor
  • High mechanical aptitude with a good eye for detail, and strong hands on experience with a can do attitude
  • Experience with computer controlled mechanical systems, and variable-frequency drive, pneumatic, hydraulics, and thermal systems
  • Knowledge of laboratory test methodologies, test instrumentation and measurement systems, data acquisition systems, and data processing
  • Capability to accurately manage test results and technical information, manipulate data and maintain comprehensive records
  • Problem-solving tenacity and customer-focused orientation
  • Good English level in reading, writing and speaking
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
