Position Summary:  

The Technical Service Analyst plays a vital role in supporting Technologists by providing essential testing assistance and conducting analytical evaluations of test results. This position is integral to the Lubes Product Technology team in China, collaborating closely with Lubes Technologists to ensure effective deployment support. The role has a particular emphasis on Crankcase and Small Engines additives technology, contributing to advancements in these specialised areas through dedicated analytical and technical expertise.

 

Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve

  • Support Technologists to meet target of planning and execution of lubricants technology programs, ensuring timely completion of formulation development, testing, and field trials.
  • Provide clear, accurate, and compliant materials to technologists—such as product performance reports and licensing documents—that meet internal and external requirements.
  • Coordinate blends and testing with third-party providers to keep projects on schedule and maintain data integrity.
  • Analyze and present test results in formats that clearly communicate to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to quality and process enhancement initiatives that improve efficiency and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field, PhD is preferred.
  • Business-level English (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with global teams.
  • Ability to accurately manage test results, manipulate data, and maintain comprehensive technical records.
  • Skilled in working methodically according to technical standards, quality processes.
  • Proven ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team under general supervision.
  • Clear communication skills combined with strong time-management and personal organization.

Preferred:

  • Basic knowledge of lubricants industry standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with specification details for industry/OEM requirements.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and their significance in product performance.
