Job Description:
Within the technical department, you will act as the process reference for additive production units. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to support safety, plant reliability, product compliance, and the economic performance of the units.
You will play a central interfacing role between field operations, operations teams, maintenance, and engineering, contributing to solving operational issues and driving continuous process improvement.
In addition to these duties, you will serve as a backup to the Production Scheduler, contributing to production planning and raw material supply.
You will be seconded to the North Atlantic Additives Technical Department, based at the Port Jérôme sur Seine site (Normandy, about 30 minutes from Le Havre), and report to the Additives Technical Manager.
Infineum units located in Normandy are operated by North Atlantic in close collaboration with Infineum.
You will interact regularly with Infineum in an international and highly technical environment.
Key Responsibilities / What you’ll achieve
Operational technical support
- Provide daily technical support to operations teams
- Analyze process performance and propose short- and long-term optimization plans
- Monitor finished product quality and conduct unit trials
- Interface with Manufacturing Technology on unit quality and performance topics
- Update technical documentation, material balances, and operating procedures
- Due to the Infineum grade slate and unit operating mode, support Operations/Planner in optimizing inventory management and production cycles
- For a few weeks per year, perform key Production Scheduler activities, including:
- Establishing a 3-month production plan based on business inputs
- Using Infineum tools to optimize scheduling
- Managing raw material replenishment
Shutdown management and transient phases
- Contribute to turnaround preparation and provide on-site support for critical activities
- Conduct post-shutdown reviews and analyses
- Support operations during shutdown and restart phases
Safety, compliance, performance, and quality
- Ensure compliance with HSE rules and process safety requirements
- Ensure adherence to applicable quality processes
- Participate in risk assessments for your units
- Lead or support performance and reliability improvement projects

Skills and qualifications required:
This position is intended for candidates with a background in chemical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent experience.
A solid understanding of industrial process fundamentals, such as mass and energy balances and unit operations, is expected.
Interest in process safety topics is also important. The role requires the ability to analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and propose appropriate solutions.
Since collaboration with diverse teams is central to the role, the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders is essential.
Finally, professional proficiency in English is required.
