Role Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician (Electrican)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of site infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems, as well as supporting laboratory and pilot plant equipment. The technician will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility operations.
Key Outputs: What we can expect from you:
- Operate and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including 26KV switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, load centers, chillers, and emergency generators.
- Support installation and commissioning of new or modified lab and pilot plant equipment.
- Provide services for site monitoring systems, analytical instrumentation, and pneumatic systems.
- Handle receipt, storage, and transport of chemicals, materials, and hazardous waste.
- Operate mobile equipment (e.g., trucks, lifts, vans) and use computers for maintenance data entry and communication.
- Maintain electrical areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Participate in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

A successful candidate is likely to have:
- 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience (26KV preferred).
- Working knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E.
- NJ Electrical License (preferred, not required).
- Experience with motor drive replacement, VFD troubleshooting, and new circuit installation.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (e.g., Siemens Apogee) is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP/R3.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Physically able to meet job demands (standing, lifting, climbing, etc.).
