A critical dimension of success is partnership with HR’s Global Centres of Excellence (focused on People Strategy & Design, Business Partnering & HR Technology) in order to translate HR strategies into consistent operational delivery. The role also supports growth and change, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), while maintaining strong governance, risk management, and compliance across all jurisdictions.

  • Build operational capability, discipline, and a strong service mindset within country HR teams across the standard suite of HR services (talent, rewards, benefits, employee relations and HRIS). Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and employee experience.
  • Provide advice and approvals for matters escalated by HR Managers or line leaders.
  • Drive standardization of core HR processes when it makes sense across geographies, sharing best practices between teams, balancing global consistency with local practices and regulatory requirements and associated change management.
  • Own the HR operational risk framework, ensuring proactive identification, mitigation, and monitoring of risks including stewarding the Reporting Hotline and Code of Conduct investigation process, including direct involvement when required.
  • Ensure payroll procedures are documented and controls consistently applied.
  • Lead audit readiness and responses (internal, external, and regulatory).
  • Promote a culture of integrity, accountability, and ethical HR practice.

HR Interface with the Centers of Excellence

  • Drive operational readiness and adoption of HR People Strategy & Design Team’s initiatives, including policies, platforms, and process changes.
  • Ensure local HR teams understand global initiatives so that they are delivered meaningfully at each of our sites and that these initiatives continue to be embedded after the effective date.
  • Act as a core operational partner to Strategic HR Business Partners, turning workforce plans into executable operational solutions (e.g. hiring, mobility, restructuring, exits).
  • Support organizational change activity through operational planning and execution.
  • Partner with HR Technology to optimize HR systems for both HR and the broader organization.
  • Ensure strong HR data accuracy, governance, and ownership across HR systems and processes.
  • Support deployment and adoption of new HR technologies and digital tools.

Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted partner to HR Centers of Excellence.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with senior leaders.
  • Ensure HR Operations is embedded in strategic and operational business discussions.

  • Track record of leading teams in particular setting stretching targets, embedding a continuous improvement mindset, leading the delivery of consistent results and driving high performance
  • Experience in partnering with HR Centres of Excellence in matrix organizations to deliver successful business outcomes
  • Well-rounded background in core HR functions (talent, rewards, benefits, employee relations and HRIS), as well as audit, compliance, and operational risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A, including due diligence and integration delivery.
  • Experience working in chemical, energy or complex manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
