Job description:

Within the Global Engineering team, you play a key role in the design, management, and successful delivery of investment projects at the Infineum France industrial site in Berre-l’Étang.

You are responsible for driving projects end-to-end, from feasibility through execution, ensuring robust technical choices aligned with safety, reliability, operability, maintainability, and economic performance objectives.

As a true technical reference, you work closely with all site stakeholders (leadership, operations, maintenance, process, safety) to ensure consistency in decision-making and quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

As part of a global organization, you actively contribute to the Global Engineering network by sharing best practices, leveraging lessons learned, and occasionally supporting international projects.

Key responsibilities / What you will accomplish:

Leadership & Design

• Lead investment projects from a process engineering perspective, from feasibility to execution, ensuring overall technical consistency.
• Define design choices and guide engineering studies based on industry standards and internal requirements.
• Assess and challenge project viability from both economic and environmental perspectives.
• Oversee the production of engineering deliverables and ensure their quality.
• Facilitate technical reviews and arbitrate design decisions while considering operational, maintenance, and safety constraints.
• Integrate performance, reliability, and sustainability considerations from the early stages of projects.

Project Management & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Coordinate internal and external interfaces and ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure technical feedback is properly captured and integrated into studies.
• Support the execution phase as a technical authority: equipment validation, supplier interactions, and support to the project manager.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE, cost, schedule, and performance targets at every stage of the project.

Continuous Improvement & Network

• Actively contribute to sharing best practices and improving engineering standards within the Global Engineering network.
• Provide a structured and critical perspective on design and project development methodologies.

Skills and qualifications required:

• Experienced engineer with approximately 8 years of experience in process engineering and/or project management in an industrial environment.
• Strong expertise in process design and risk analysis (e.g., HAZOP), with the ability to ensure quality and consistency at a project level.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards in HSSE and sustainability.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical topics, make decisions, and align multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Proactive and committed, combining leadership, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility, with a strong interest in developing best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in an international environment.
