Role Title: Process Supervisor

Role Function and Group: Supply / Chemical Operations

Location: Bayway 

 

Position Summary:

The Process Supervisor will be responsible for operating the Polybutene Unit in a manner consistent with the operating area’s targets, and for the Polybutene Unit Shift team (field PT) in achieving the overall section goals for each operating area.
 

Key Outputs: What we can expect from you

  • Goals include Production and Health Safety and Environment targets, Unit Improvement, Operating Efficiency, Cost Reduction, and Personnel Development.
  • Associated facilities for the Polybutene areas include Vistanex – J Unit, Ammonia Refrigeration systems, and WSCP Flare.
  • Act as an Emergency Response Communicator during Field emergencies.
  • Able to work effectively with numerous other departments including Maintenance, Technical, Health, Safety and Environment, and Phillips 66 Petroleum Company.
  • Improve the performance of the shift teams by establishing standards / goals for colleague performance and using effective coaching, coordination, and leadership.
  • Take necessary actions to meet internal / external customer needs and develop / deliver improvements.
  • Communicate work plans and status within the shift team, to shift relief, Unit Second Line Leader, Process Mechanical Coordinator, and Process Contact Engineer.
  • Ensure shift teams complete and fully document all required tasks such as regulatory compliance checks, production entry, and maintenance work requests.
  • Obtain and maintain Refrigeration Blue Seal or higher.
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Must be able to motivate and lead their shift team to execute planned production runs, prepare equipment for maintenance, and perform effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  •  Detail orientation
  • Excellent communication skills

 

Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of process plant equipment operation and knowledge of applicable Health, Safety, and Environment standards (OIMS).
