Role Title: Learning & Development Partner/Advisor

Position Summary:
The Learning & Development Partner plays a critical role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s learning strategy. They will design, deliver and embed learning strategies that enable our colleagues to perform at their best today and grow for the future. This role will establish a process for managing learning requests in line with business priorities and partner with leaders to identify development needs, create impactful solutions and build a culture of continuous learning across the organisation that drives capability, engagement and performance.
This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve
Learning Strategy & Planning
- Support the Department Head with the development of the organisational learning strategy and roadmap.
- Translate the strategy into actionable annual learning plans aligned with business priorities and talent needs.
- Provide a mechanism to conduct learning needs analyses (LNAs) using data from business strategy, performance reviews, and employee feedback.
- Identify key skills and capability gaps and recommend targeted interventions.
2. Learning Requests & Demand Management
- Establish a process for managing business learning requests and act as the first point of contact.
- Apply agreed frameworks to evaluate, prioritise, and respond to requests.
- Advise stakeholders on the most appropriate learning solutions (formal, informal, digital, coaching, external providers).
- Track and report demand trends to inform future planning and investment decisions.
3. Performance Management System Enablement
- Partner with HR colleagues to support the rollout of the new performance management system.
- Develop and deliver training, guides, toolkits, and communications to build manager and employee capability in using the system.
- Act as a subject matter advisor for queries related to performance management learning.
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
4. Learning Delivery & Operations
- Evolve and deliver core learning programmes and initiatives (e.g., onboarding, leadership modules, technical training).
- Source, contract, and manage external learning providers as needed.
- Curate and manage digital learning resources on the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Support the evaluation of learning impact using metrics, feedback, and business outcomes.
5. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership
- Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners, leaders, and employees to understand learning needs.
- Provide expert advice on L&D practices, methods, and tools.
- Champion a culture of continuous learning and development across the organisation.

Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in an L&D advisory role.
Expertise in learning design and facilitation.
Knowledge of learning needs analysis, learning design and evaluation frameworks.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Experience supporting or implementing performance management systems/skills.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management.
Ability to work with digital learning tools, LMS platforms and strong data analytics.
