Position Summary:
The Head of Product Stewardship plays a pivotal role in enabling our vision of becoming a world-class specialty chemicals company. This role is crucial in supporting business growth and diversification while ensuring regulatory compliance across global markets. Leads a global team that ensures regulatory requirements are met consistently and efficiently, while also anticipating new legislations and supporting expansion into new product areas. Your leadership will help bring innovative products to market safely and sustainably but with the necessary speed to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve
Leadership and Development
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing global team, fostering an inclusive culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the team to deliver short term objectives while actively shaping the future vision
Regulatory Compliance
- Accountable for global chemical and product regulatory compliance.
- Oversee regulatory submissions, registrations, notifications and authoring of Safety Data Sheets.
- Monitor global regulatory developments proactively and assess implications providing timely accurate advice.
- Maintain and improve regulatory systems and processes including digital platforms e.g. SAP EHS
Strategic Planning and Improvement
- Set and lead the global Product Stewardship strategy, ensuring priorities are aligned with both business objectives and compliance requirements
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Support customer facing compliance requirements
- Facilitate communication between regulatory experts and the broader organization ensuring clarity of requirements and risks.
Representation & Influence
- Act as an ambassador for product stewardship both internally and externally

Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Degree in Chemistry or related technical disciplines such as Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Science.
- Experience in product stewardship and regulatory compliance in a global context (e.g. EPA, ECHA, CEPA, REACH, GHS, CLP)
- Experience in leading and developing teams.
- Motivating and empowering leadership style, with the ability to coach and develop colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving ability with sound judgment in interpreting complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to bridge between technical specialists and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change, adapt to evolving regulations and plan for long term compliance needs.
Preferred:
- Experience with SAP EHS
