Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic compliance professional to manage sanctions and export compliance across our global operations. This role is critical in ensuring adherence to UK, EU, US, and other international trade, export, and sanctions laws and regulations. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. This role will report to the Company’s Head of Corporate Compliance.
Key Responsibilities / What You'll Achieve
- Provide subject-matter expertise on UK, EU, and US export control and sanctions laws, including Russian related sanctions.
- Lead sanctions compliance efforts for high-risk regions and transactions, advising on applicable restrictions, managing any licensing requirements, and ensuring proper controls are in place. This will include managing the day-to-day process for evaluating high-risk transactions and customers under current procedures and processes and, where appropriate, enhancing them to better address risk in this area.
- Working closely with our global trade compliance team, enhancing existing procedures and processes to properly classify products and technology and ensure all required authorizations and licenses are properly in place and managed.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on business activities.
- Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on export and sanctions compliance.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders and operational teams including legal, procurement, supply chain, and sales to ensure consistent best practices and compliance.
- Draft and negotiate robust trade compliance clauses (sanctions and export control undertakings) in commercial contracts to ensure third parties uphold Infineum’s compliance standards.

Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Deep expertise in export controls regimes and regulations in the UK, US, and EU, including the UK Export Control Order, the US Export Administration Regulations under the Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”), and the EU Dual-Use Regulations as well as the sanctions regulations and regimes in those jurisdictions such as the UK Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (“OFSI”), the US Office of Foreign Asset Controls (“OFAC”), and EU sanctions.
- Experience in a multinational corporate legal or compliance department or law firm with a focus on international trade.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and work effectively at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, critical thinking and attention to detail.
- High professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
Preferred:
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in the UK (or equivalent legal qualification) preferred, although non-attorneys with relevant experience will be considered.
- Commercially minded, financially aware, and solutions‑oriented with a positive, “can‑do” approach.
- Self‑driven, motivated, assertive, pragmatic and persistent.
