Position Summary:  

The role will provide laboratory rig testing, analytical and technical support to the team, collaborating to develop and deploy strategic capabilities to enable the development of next generation of products. The Deep Expertise Chemistry Team works closely with the New Business Development Team as well as Infineum’s core business and support functions such as IP law and the Regulatory team.

  • Proactively contribute to the high safety standard of the group
  • Design, recommend and execute experimental programmes with support from supervisor
  • Design, recommend and develop testing methodology using rig test expertise
  • Participate in project / activity teams and present results and conclusions of the work
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure analytical, bench and engine testing are delivered to a high quality standard and against established timelines
  • Potential in the future for synthetic work and analysis of target molecules
  • Any additional responsibilities as assigned

 A successful candidate is likely to have:

  • Strong commitment to Infineum HSE and quality values together with hands on experience of safe, rigorous delivery in a lab environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and able to drive work forward to meet targets and timelines
  • Capable of overcoming obstacles through own initiative and with minimal intervention from supervisor
  • Capable of drawing technically sound conclusions from data, summarise, document and present results clearly on their work
  • Competent user of data analysis packages and word processing software
  • Strong scientific background with lab experience is preferred with a minimum of a Bsc/MSc degree qualification in chemistry is preferred but not essential.
